Introducing Sky + Table Event Group

Our history as a catering company in Lethbridge and Southern Alberta runs deep. But, over the years we’ve added event planning, management of a number of venues, and a partnership for design + décor that allows us to support our clients with each and every detail of their event planning journey — large and small.

Sky + Table Event Group reflects the company we have become. Sky represents the limitless possibilities we provide to our clients as well as our home base of Lethbridge with the expansive sky as our backdrop. Table brings us down to earth again, and reflects the practical and humble nature of our people and strong work ethic.

LA Chefs is here to stay but becomes the name of our catering division and is one of our family of brands.

1997
Home-Based Catering Company
We began our journey catering for family, friends, and colleagues – and quickly developed a reputation for the best beef on a bun around!

2003
Our First Home
Our first location was within a small restaurant in a 100+-year-old building. It had two kitchens on separate floors with no elevators. We got our daily workout loading in and out!

2006
LA Chefs Catering Officially Formed
Almost 10 years after we started, we partnered with our first exclusive venue, the Sandman Hotel. We branded ourselves LA Chefs to put a focus on the high caliber of our red seal chefs in Lethbridge Alberta. This allowed us to scale both our on-site and off-site business.

2009
Coast Lethbridge Hotel & Conference Centre Partnership
The Coast had new ownership and underwent an extensive renovation for its 15,000+ sq. ft. of event space. LA Chefs was invited to be the exclusive catering partner for all conferences and events. This was a period of massive expansion, growing our team from 25-100 people.

2017
The Norland Historic Estate Venue Management
We became the exclusive caterer and venue manager to the Norland, this was followed by an expansion with a ballroom addition to this property. The Norland quickly became a sought-after venue for weddings and other events.

2019
Lethbridge Event Rentals Partnership
LA Chefs partnered with one of our senior catering managers to form Lethbridge Event Rentals–Southern Alberta’s premiere event rental and design & décor company.

2020
Countryside Barn Venue Management
We became the exclusive caterer and venue manager to the newly constructed Countryside Barn Venue, which has also become an extremely popular wedding and event venue.

2023
Sky + Table Event Group
Over the years we’ve become more than a catering and events company. We needed a brand that could encompass our robust set of offerings, allow us to dream big, and reach for the sky.
